I decided to embark on something I've always wanted to do, create my own Tarot deck.

Here you will find images of the cards as they are completed.

I paint the images on 30 by 40cm canvas boards in acrylic paint.

I plan to finish the paintings mid 2027, I then want to write an accompanying book and get them published, if you know anyone who might be able to help me get them published, help promote this project, or you are an established Tarot writer and would be interested in collaborating in writing the book, please let me know.

The deck will follow the basic RWS structure, with some card name changes and some images which loosely follow the traditional imagery and some that deviate.

I want the cards to really get across the essence of what that card means to me, I want it to be a really good reading deck which is completely unique but good for newbie readers and advanced readers alike.

I also particularly want to court cards to come alive.

I am fully aware of all traditional meanings of the cards, their symbols, the correspondences and so on but I won't always include traditional symbols or imagery as I'm more interested in creating a modern day readable deck than replicating what other people think is correct and true, see my How I see the Tarot Page for more info.
